Nine poked his head into the room.

"You can use anything you want."

"Is it my imagination or did they multiply?"

"They are fan gifts, I keep getting them and I promised to use it all, because I didn't want to make any of the fans sad."

"If you use all that product, your face is going to fall off."

"Yeah, I didn't think they would give me so many. There's more stuff in my room, too."

"Oh, that gives me an idea, one sec." Nine disappeared for a moment, then came back.

"You need to shave, let me help." Nine grabbed some stuff that smelt like cedar trees and the outdoors and applied it to his skin.

High watched Nine in the mirror's reflection, observing how different the two of them were.

His hair was fluffy and unkempt, while Nine had light pink hair pinned back with a diamond barrette on top pulling his bangs back, not afraid to show the Thitiwat strong forehead.

Nine's skin was a few shades lighter than his own, as he spent most of his time playing basketball on the courts. He liked outdoors too, and roughhousing with Tone and Heart.

High stopped when his heart panged dully for Heart, an empty crush he had long put aside. Friendship was the most important there, but he sure wished he could find someone who could adore him, get caught up with him, and that he could admire. Lately, their whole world had been hearing about Saint.

Saint this, Saint that, it was just another nail in the coffin of why his minor crush could never be. He was over it anyway; he realized over a year ago that nothing more would ever come for him and Heart, and that the relationship was just better off that way. At first he thought it was because Heart wasn't gay, whereas he had come out in middle school to Heart and Tone admitting that to him there was no such thing as gender. Only love, they had both accepted him easily, like there was never any choice not to. But now he realized it was because they just were not right for each other, because watching Heart struggle he could already see the signs. Heart was starting to care about what Saint was doing. Saint had gotten into his head, like a bad cold.

'But he wasn't sure what his family would do, how they would look at him…'

'What would Nine think? What would Copter or his Dad think? Well, they were far away anyway. His older brother lived abroad and was married with kids already. His dad worked in the states and was separated from his mom, and he hadn't seen him in like five years.'

'But most important out of all of them was his sweet mom. What would Mom think?'

'He didn't think Nine would care, Nine had stated that love is love and he didn't see gender and his fans had eaten that up like it was free cake.'

    High smiled.

    There was a soft click.

High snapped out of his musing.

Nine had lathered his face in aftershave and took a picture.

    "Hey, again?"

"Please, please, bro, I have to post this for my followers so they can see the product is getting the love it deserves. I promise I will show the after photo too, so everyone can see how handsome you are okay?"

He held up his fingers waiting for an okay.

High sighed, but nodded, giving in.

Nine shaved his chin carefully, peering at him with intense concentration.

High watched him move his mouth stupidly as he shaved away the stubble. He couldn't help it and lost it.

"Oh, my god, why would you laugh, do you want me to destroy your face! I am holding a knife to it right now."

High leaned forward, laughing even harder at his brother's serious concern.

"Gosh, you just looked so idiotic, moving your face as you shaved my stubble."

    "I did not!"

    "Did so."

"It is impossible for me to look stupid, that's your job." Nine said smugly.

"Now come back here or we are both going to get to classes by tomorrow."

High sucked in a lip to hold back his smile while Nine worked.

Nine finished after a few more minutes, then stood back proudly to admire his work.

High bent forward and washed his face, he held out a hand, which Nine put a towel into, and he dried the bottom of his chin leaving his face to drip down onto his bare chest.

"Here, use these two things," Nine said, shoving a pretty red and pinky peach bottle towards him, then a dark blue one with some sort of clear liquid sloshing inside. One was a spray and the other looked like a dropper.

"I need to promote how good those are, if people see my family is using them too, it will boost sales. The spray first."

"Ummm, okkkayyy." High said, humoring him. But secretly loved the peach bottle and wanted to have a picture of it too.

Once he finished applying the stuff, he looked up and Nine was gone.

High shrugged and headed back into his room, he picked out a grey t-shirt that said OPEN 2 CLOSE on it in big black letters running lengthwise down the side of it, with a little red and white spliced dot on the sleeve.

He threw on some dark wash jeans, grabbed his bag and walked out of the room and down the stairs.

    "Hey Mom."

"Oi, moon, what are you doing? You are so late, baby" She pressed a hand to High's cheek gently with a warm smile on her face. Her gentle voice lilting with her motherly worry.

"I know, Mom, I love you. I gotta go okay."

"I love you too." She perked up after hearing her, baby say I love you.

"Wait, moon, where is your brother? I sent him to go get you and now he has disappeared."

"I'm right here, mom." Nine said, bounding down the stairs and into the room full of energy.

"There's my star," she stated happily calling them by their pet nicknames she had created for us since Nine had become famous.

Nine leaned in and kissed her on the cheek generously.

She smiled gently at her boys.

"You guys can't leave without breakfast okay, here take these packs I made you. I just knew you two would be late again." She sighed.

I am off to work on that trip okay, three days. So for the next three days you have to pick your brother up from the studio, don't forget okay?" She looked over at High.

"Okay, ma, have fun, don't worry." He put his hand on her shoulder and rubbed her soft peach shirt on her arm softly.

She grabbed her keys and looked at them both gently, her eyes filled with reluctance.

She put her hand to her lips and blew them a kiss before reluctantly heading out the door.

    "Finally!" Nine said, stretching playfully.

"We have the house all to ourselves."

    "No."

"I didn't even say anything, yet." Nine whined.

"No, but you were going to."

"By the way, you don't have to pick me up." Nine started.

High glared at his little brother.

"Hey, asshole, don't try to pull shit. Just cause Mom is gone. She told me to pick you up. You do remember why right? Screaming fangirls following your not so conspicuous black vehicle all the way to our house."

"I am picking you up, period."

"Ahh, I have the greatest brother in the world." Nine sighed dramatically and threw his arms around High's neck.

"Eeew, get off me." High complained while dragging Nine's dead weight out the door.
