    ~ 2. Zombie~

The flash light blazed into my eyes. All I know is I was falling down to the yard. Before my eyes would be completely closed, I saw Luz. He punched Max like hundred times, it was very fast and then I found myself again on my warm bed with some nice smell.

    “Hmm, What’s that smell?”

“Morning wine, honey.” Luz said calmly as always.

I saw a glass of red wine in my hand. It is not likely blood at all.

“OH MY GOD!”  I suddenly saw the body over me. The horror alive-body with very pale face, pale lip and whole body is protected by hood jacket. It’s Kaydance. Her long blythe hair is a little wavy out …scary way like her neck is hanging on something. She is standing still like she does not have her soul anymore. Only her eyes look at me deeply and straight frightening unfriendly.

“Back off” Luz shouted at her. It is the first time I ever seen my kindness Luz shout out. Kaydance stepped back along his order, but her eyes still keep terrifying me.

“How did she become like that?” There are more questions in my head, never-able-to-be-stopped questions.

“Drink it and you will feel better.”

I almost forgot how thirsty I was, until I dropped a look at the glass in my hand again. The drink was gone quickly. I am feeling like… paradise. I even feel like I could break the whole house with my hand, or even mince Kaydance’s body. But why would I have to do that? Now I am feeling so fresh. I don’t want to feel anything else, but probably some more sleep again.

“You sleep and school tomorrow, Cez. I have something to do but I will make sure to get back in time to go to school with you tomorrow. Good night.” He gently smiled before closing the door.

Here’s Luz back to me again. Sweetest Luz in the world. What I have to think….Kaydance…. no, no…no.

Darkness night, silent wind blows slowly and gently takes your breath away. In the opposite village, in the cottage with three candle lights, there are three persons sitting round and turn around to watch each other.

    “Now what.” The voice one.

    “What what.” The voice two.

“What you knew” The voice one repeated.

“I knew what?” The voice two questioned back.

“Enough! Both of you.” Stronger voice from the most adult girl in the group yelled. Her eyes open wild and eagle to do something. She took a very deep breath and continued.

“Max, what you have done today and it was too dangerous. You knew you could get us killed right away or even right now!”

“I am not that foolish, dear.” Max said laid-back. He stood up and left the last word for tonight.

“I have my theory. All you both have to do is to trust me.” He stressed at the last word and went to his room.

    “Trust! Huh!”

“Com’on, Traya. You knew Max is not that idiot. He would not get us kill that easily. This is not the first time.”

“Yes, I know, Tracie. But this time is not the same. Not really the same. This guy is much more complicated that we used to do this thing. And the girl, I feel odd.”

“Isn’t that jealous for you, for Max?” Tracie laughs.

“Not like that. I feel there are some more complicated things out there. I can feel it. My sense never missed. But would you two excuse me, right now I will have to play…to relax and then have some sleep.” Max finished the conversation while Traya glared at him before each other off to their rooms, and Tracie is the last one to snuff the candles out.

The silent visitor outside stepped back right away, when he heard Traya’s cello. He ran away faster and faster, and scream out loud to the deep forest, that no one could hear. Luz’s lip bleeds out and breaths fast behind the hidden rock. The darkness night ended and the morning sun is shining on once again.

    “Morning, Luz?”

Empty bed with opened door. It starts to rain very hard outside. It is 7 am in the morning and without Luz again. I closed the door and grip the pink dot umbrella. I wish I had bought ‘red wine’ color of the umbrella, but whatever. These days my emotion became awkward again. I feel like the mass of sea waving in my body. Something is going wrong with me. Something worse than I could handle it alone. You broke our promises… once and once again – my Luz. You supposed to go to school with me, you suppose to walk besides me, and you suppose to answer my ton of questions. But – Where are you, where are you – when I needed you, where you really are.

I stepped in the class silently like I was not existed. Jayne seems to be the most beautiful girl of the day, for today. I never realized why she becomes such that ‘suddenly’ to be an attractive person? She smells great with some flowers scent around her. Why today she looks weirdly beautiful.

“Hi Jayne.” I surprisingly heard myself whispered poorly.

“Cez! Here you came! Why did you enter so quietly? Anyway, tonight we are going to have ‘Gillard –Welcome Party’!!”

Ok, now I know why she looks extremely beautiful today. “Gillard, who?”

“Com’on, Cez! You know Max, Traya and Tracie. The Trio! Since Trisha and me have got the ticket prize from them – although via the radio station. So we plan to ‘thank you’ them back by throwing a big welcome party for them, tonight! Exciting?”

“Yes, very exciting.” Like I have just heard the news of ‘hello, tomorrow is the end of the world.’

“You are coming with Luz, right?” Jayne stared at me expectedly.

“I don’t know where Luz is, and you knew I don’t like any parties.” I am not lying.

“Then you will have to find him! How could this party lack of you two, gorgeous Luzifer Sherrington and you, Celetta Sherrington – gorgeous twin of our school!” Trisha walked behind me, I felt that.

“Ok, see you guys tonight. Where?” I lied now. I am not going. I am not going to find Luz. I am not going anywhere neither.

32nd street at 7 pm. Wear the mask!” Jayne screamed terrifying me and got back to her girly group with Trisha. Seem now everyone starts ‘Trio lecture’ for the rest of math class. I look out through the window and sigh lonely.

While everyone is laughing together, has something to do together but I feel separately out from there. I feel I am not belonging to them. I can’t pretend to be girly friendly and chatting around like them. All my thoughts cut to only Luz. Would it be only me in the world who always stuck with only one person? Luz has no idea how much he has an influence in me. But he could dislike me for twinning around him. I have to do something,

would it be way of revenging for what I am going to say next?

I am going to date Max Gillard.

Well, before I could continue thinking about that, there was a mass of waving sea in my head once again to my body and my soul. There must be something wrong about me, probably even worse tonight. I need to find Luz before Max.

Then you knew how it’s not going to be easy. I met Max before Luz, because I had no clue where my beloved twin is anymore. I knocked up at Kaydance’s room, at least just to see her Zombie’s body but nothing showing in there. Something tells me to move on, without Luz. Some coldness strength is telling me to set ‘Luz’ behind. But what about our memories? What is happening with me – or really is with my thought.

    Students Music Room

The Trio is standing in front of each other and staring each other.

“Ok, how long you are going to stare at me like this, Traya.” Max turned back and grabbed his violin to get ready for the party and his car’s key. “We are going to be late for our parties.”

“Parties! Our parties?! You know it’s a trap, Max. We are going to be all dead if that guy shows up once again.” Traya with pale countenance and too much scared to touch her Cello but then Max passed it to her.

“That guy I suppose you refer to Luzifer Sherrington, right? Then no worries.”

“But you hurt him last night! He is going to pay you back, at the party!! You know they are going to play the music against us. Devil’s piano could weak us, you knew that.” Tracie added.

“It could only hurt temporary you two knew that too. For your more information, as you two also already knew, our violins can hurt them back.” Max turned to face them.

“Oh yeah, can hurt them to die, ha? Honesty our music killed ALL vampires, I mean, new-born Vampires but why not her! She is still alive. Didn’t you remember our first day at school? She stepped near our music without any problem. We have been told to get rid of new-born vampires in this town but we were not sure how many for them here. But now what I knew is that there are already two wicked vampires who never died by our Trio music.”

Max stopped and recognized slowly to the past night. Luzifer Sherrington was standing still in front of their home. Max could know he was there, so he played the music against him, but somehow he was just still alive, he could feel that too. Where did he go afterwards and even didn’t show up at school. Was he injured, or never, he wondered. But one thing he knows is that, he needs to find out what the twin really is. What kind of new-born Vampires they are. This is not normal and could be danger. He needs to do it hurry, before he would fall in love with the trick of Vampires, or probably already too late?

    Someone’s knocking the room.

    Celetta Sherrington.

“Don’t you dare open the door, Mr. not afraid of dead Max.” Traya threatened seriously but somehow Max did not listen. And the door opens.

I stepped front a bit before noticed some life-wanted eyes. How scary, huh. I heard my voice. “Is Max Gillard here?”

Max stepped out while Tracie and Traya hold both his arms. Are they Brocon?

“Evening Ms. Sherrington. How may I help you?” Friendly voice whispered with unfriendly face.

I glared at two girls around him and it seems work. They just let Max free instantly like a magic but obviously it is not. They seem to be afraid of me more than my fear to them. Well, I am not scared of them, but to their… something waving in my head. Probably because of those violins on the table. I have to go out of this room quickly, something warning me to stay far away very soon.

“Where do you think you are going with my brother?” Traya pulled Max’s arm once again.

“To the welcome party, your welcome party.” I added coldly and don’t care what they are going to say next. I yanked Max’s arm back to me and then we ran out together to the outside world.

“I swear I am going to end her. I never want to kill any new-born Vampire as her before, bitch.” Tracie cursed whispery.

“Can’t hardly wait.” Traya added coldly and griped her Cello. Shut the door.

Max drives slowly to 32nd street. I am not sure what should I talk with him. Is this already a date? What you have to do on your date and do you have to tell him first that ‘hi, will you date me’ or even ask ‘what’s your birthday?’ Ugh, or shall I do along my Vampire way. Just bite his neck and hypnotize him? The problem is I just don’t know how seriously.

“Will you change your dress first, Miss? I could drop you at home and wait for you.”

I just realized that I am going to their welcome party with black jacket and blue jean, plus pink dot umbrella instead of gorgeous mark.

“I should go home, right. Please drive me home, back the car there.” I am not going to the party anyway.

Max dropped me at home, sadly he thought I would go to his party.

“Look, I can’t go to your welcome party. I am sorry but I have something important to do.”

“You know what, I can’t do to my welcome party too. Not that I hate parties. I don’t want to go without you.” Max got off the car, holding my hand. “Would you be my date tonight, Ms. Sherrington?”

Coldly angel voice shouted from behind. “I don’t think so, Mr. Gillard.”

Max stared at Luz strangely. Angel face turned to me gently and kissed me at the cheek in front of Max. “I already made our dinner, Cez. Let’s get into home. It’s getting too dark outside. Goodbye Mr. Gillard.” Luz holds me in his arm.

“Let the lady chooses, would you mind.” Max added with smile unfriendly.

“She doesn’t have to choose, right? Celetta. Now would you please excuse me –”

“I want to go to the party. Please wait for me, Max. I will be right back in ten minutes.” I heard myself saying that out loud in front of Luz, my Luz. I didn’t even see Luz’s face afterwards, only some distance I can feel from him. Oh –no.
