Verb  to do

1.  Verb  to  do มี  6 รูป  คือ  do,  does, did,  done,  doing, to do

2.  Verb  to  do  มีความหมายว่า  ทำ  และนำมาช่วยทำประโยคปฏิเสธ – คำถาม

3.  ประธานเอกพจน์ใช้  dose  พหูพจน์ใช้  do  ยกเว้น  I, you  ใช้  do  เสมอ

4.  ถ้าในประโยคไม่มีกริยาพิเศษ  ต้องใช้  V.  to  do  มาช่วยทำปฏิเสธ- คำถาม

ตัวอย่าง­

บอกเล่า	ปฏิเสธ	คำถาม
You do homework.	You  don’t do  homework.	Do you  do homework ?
He  does  work.	He  doesn’t  do  work.	Does  he   do  work ?
I did homework last night.	I didn’t  do homework last night.	Did you do homework last night?
They  drink  milk.	They  don’t  drink  milk.	Do they  drink  milk ?
She likes  him.	She  doesn’t  like  him.	Does she  like him ?

การใช้  V. to do ในความหมายต่าง ๆ

1. เราใช้  V. to do ช่วยทำเป็นปฏิเสธ- คำถามในกรณีที่ในประโยคนั้นไม่มี  is, am .are, was, were, will, would, shall, should, can, could, may, might, must, ought to และ  have + V₃ ที่เป็นรูป perfect  tense  เท่านั้น  เช่น

บอกเล่า	ปฏิเสธ	คำถาม
They go  there.	They  don’t  go  there.	Do  they  go  there ?
He  likes it.	He  doesn’t  like  it.	Does  he  like it ?
She came here.	She  didn’t  come  here.	Did she  come  here ?
You believe  me.	You  don’t  believe  me.	Do  you  believe  me ?
I have a sister.	I  don’t  have  a  sister.	Do  you  have  a sister ?

2.  ใช้ในความหมายที่แปลว่า “ทำ”

            I do my homework every day.

            He does his work every day.

            She did  the  homework  last  night.

            I am doing it now.

            I will do it tomorrow.

            She doesn’t work on Sunday.

            They don’t  work on Wednesday.

            He doesn’t work on Monday.

            They do housework.

            She did housework yesterday.
