On the quiet side of the lavished town where all houses were neatly arranged with manors, Joshua Haven rolled over his bed and groaned loudly. This wasn’t the first time that he had lost this game. Joshua turned off his Playstation, scratched his beautiful hazel brown eyes, and scratched his light brown porcupine-like hair. He was nineteen years old, had an average height and was the Dexter of the college. Obviously, this boy was a game addict.

Joshua Haven had a family; full of love and warmth. He was surrounded with great friends who were fond of him, and teachers back in high school treated him as their pet. However, his life changed in college, as professors were more serious in their lectures, and Joshua had to stay back to work on his labs in college. Sometimes, he hoped so badly that he was back in High School, being the boy who wiped out all the honors in science and mathematics.

Joshua stuffed his notebook in his bag. He knew that today would be another horrible day, spending a Sunday on the mountains, not for hiking but for obtaining knowledge from the nasty, squeaky Geography professor, Professor Rhea.  With a long sigh, Joshua got down the stairs slowly and waited for his best friend to pick him up to that day trip.

“Looking at the way you act shows me clearly that you don’t feel like going on this trip today,” a friendly voice teased, as Joshua dragged himself down the stairs.

“Don’t try to analyze me, Nestor Carlson. I know you would be a good psychologist but don’t analyze me because of your high marks in psychology courses back in high school. You are far too smart,” Joshua said.

Nestor Carlson grinned slyly and gave Joshua his innocent look. Eighteen year old Nestor Carlson had dark brown eyes and wore a very nice smile that everyone could forgive him if he had done anything wrong. Nestor was as intelligent as Joshua and was voted as the most artistic boy in his Senior Class. He was calm and understanding towards everyone, and often helped his friends in having their problems solved. The emotional boy loved to sublimate his inspirations and imagination down on his artworks. Nestor had a habit of analyzing people with the psychological theories of those psychologists.

The Carlson boy lived in a huge mansion with his cousins and relatives, but not his family. His family lived in another town far from the college he entered, so he had to move over to live with relatives. He had a good heart that always tried to turn the black world white. Everyone who was with him would never be stressed out for he was really helpful. However, his purity could fade away if anyone lit the fire in him.

“Stop looking at me like that, my friend! Your smiles and innocent look could just make me…grrr… alright, I forgive you,” Joshua sighed.

“Thank you, Lord of the science and mathematics,” Nestor said with his nicest smile, “No time for playing any more, Joshua. We need to reach those mountains in time. Or else...”

“Or else a professor would tear out her physical appearance and reveal her true, demonic self!” Joshua laughed and gave Nestor a high five.

The black sexy Audi car was loaded away from the Haven’s manor, and screeched along the road. Nestor was completely in love with his car, had them polished every three weeks, waxed it and made it perfect. The backseat of the car was filled with painted canvasses of angels, castles, and mythical creatures.

“New paintings again, Nestor?” Joshua asked as he reached out to pick up a painting of two baby angels. The boy angel was kissing the girl angel’s cheek, and below the canvas, a small picture of the same image was pasted there. “Similar to the original. Nice work! But don’t you think this image is too adult for the kids?”

“Joshua! I didn’t thought of that when I drew it! I guess you are the one who had such an adult thinking!” Nestor laughed, “I just found the new Joshua personality!”

Joshua frowned and shook his head. He knew that one of the most hilarious things about Nestor was his sense of humor, even though it might be a little dry and corny. Joshua and Nestor were best of friends since they were freshmen in high school, attended the same courses, sharing similar interests among each other. Surprisingly, they too, attended the same college and faculty.

The boys were halfway up the mountains when they saw two turns. “Which way do we have go?” Nestor asked.  “I am so lost now.”

“Maybe we could ask that little one with the green attire,” Joshua questioned the girl when the car approached her, “Excuse me, little girl, do you know where the Great waterfall is?”

“Turn left, then right then left again,” said the little girl. She had pointy ears and red hair, which looked very much like a pixie. “Have a nice, nice trip, boys!” the pixie-like girl laughed.

Before Joshua could say ‘thank you’, the girl disappeared with the blink of an eye. Nestor remained astonished for a moment. He was so flabbergasted to see that girl vanished that fast. In his mind, he begun to think and wonder of the theories of either scientific or psychological to analyze the movement and behavior of the pixie. Nevertheless, he gave up analyzing that pixie-like girl and drove to the direction that the girl had led. Haplessly, there were no cars of the other Geography students, or even any buses. Instead, they saw an old man, walking along the foot of the mountains. He wore a ragged shirt and breeches that could tell just from judging that he was a farmer.

“Excuse me sir, do you know where is the Great waterfall is? We think we have lost our way,” Joshua asked the old man politely.

“Oh, oh, my dear! You boys have traveled so far! Don’t you know that you are 5 kilometers away from the waterfall? Oh god, here you go, you probably came from the road which leads to two turns. Go back and turn right, and left, about just 2 kilometers, you would see the ticket booth. And there is where you should be. Not here!” the old man said with a smile on his wrinkle face.

“Thank you, Sir. There was this little girl who told us that the waterfall should be here. God, what a child,” Joshua sighed. “I guess that girl is playing a prank on us. We should have met you in the first place. Luckily, the tank’s full. Or else we had to push the car all over to the waterfall!”

“That is not funny, boys! That is not a girl, she is not a human, and definitely she is not a child! She is pixie; you boys have been pixie-led!” The old man said as his voice trembling, “She haunts these mountains for nineteen years! That pixie disguised herself as a form of a human, but could never hide her pointy ears. She had tricked many people like you in leading the wrong way. She is not a kid! She is in disguise!” the old man sprinted quickly to the village ahead, yelling, “ That pixie girl has returned! Beware!”
