  Kangaroos grow taller than humans.They hop up to speed of 60 kmh.or 40 mph. ,and leap over things 3 m. or 10 ft. The male kangaroos are larger than female,and can jump 7 feet high,and travle 12 mph. There 66 species of kangaroos.
Thay have large , powerful hind legs and small front legs. The weight of the kangaroo is 18 kg.Males can weight 100 kg. and grow 2.1 meters or 7 feet tall, female\'s highest weight can be 30 kg.
Although some smaller species of kangaroos live in New Guinea and on nearby islands, most kangaroos live mainly in Australia, in the plains of northern Austreila, the woodlands and forest, the desert and dry gresslands of centrel Austraila,and dry,rocky hills.
The kangaroos usually are resting all the day in the shade,coming out at late evening when it is much cooler to searh for food. It sleepsabout 8-10 hours per a day.
Kangaroos like to eat lrge plants and will even devour cardboard.They need very little water to survive;they can survive four mounts without water.
