Microsoft  v  Macintosh

Macintosh and Microsoft.  They may be just names, but names that have taken man into this big leap into the age of technology.  Their battles rage in different ways, but whoever wins, the face of the world will change forever.  That is why the world has to know that PC’s are better than Macs.  There are several reasons that this is true.  PC’s are more worldwide, more advanced, more convenient, faster, and can be much cheaper than Macs.

            The world runs on PC’s, not Macs.  Ninety percent of all computer users use PC.  PC’s are more convenient and user friendly because of their ability to do a lot of things.  Microsoft PowerPoint, for example, allows users to create more than what Mac programmes can.  Unlike in Mac’s Keynote, Microsoft PowerPoint has a wider selection of page transitions and special effects, and allows users to undo more than only one time.    Because of this, PC’s are chosen for business as they are chosen for home computers.  It is certain that PC’s are more worldwide than Mac computers.

            It is the truth that the world seems to know Microsoft Word more than Mac’s Claris Works, or PowerPoint over Mac’s Keynote, and it is obvious that these days applications are mainly made for PC’s because more people use them.  Some people overlook these facts by saying that Mac’s are more ‘original’.  ‘Original’ is not what the world should be looking for.  It should be looking for something that can put its trust in to take it forward into the future.  Bill Gates has developed the Mac in many ways.  The two button mouse, scroll wheels, Mouse Interface System, CD writers, intelligent word processors.  This is all because of him and Microsoft.  Bill has changed a microwave box into a real computerthe PC.  Therefore PC’s are more advanced than Macintosh and computer applications mostly run on PC nowadays.

            PC’s are faster than Macs.  In the last few years when iMacs were released they claim themselves to have the fastest computers in the world.  Several researchers tell a different story.  In reality PC’s are faster than Macs.  This is because they run at a faster clock speed.  For example, a PC Dell can rotate a big image about four seconds faster than an iMac.  PC’s run faster because they run on Intel chips.  Today Macs are switching to use Intel chips too, and because of this Macs are becoming PC’s.  Still though, the world knows, PC’s are faster than Macs.

            A large portion of the world believes PC’s are easier to use than Macs.  For example, a Mac mouse has only one button, unlike PC’s and their advanced, two button mouse with scroll wheels.  Also, the new Windows XP has features such as ClearType Technology which shows text more crisply and helps users read up to 10% faster.  In many other ways than this the PC’s are easier to use and much more user friendly.

            PC’s are better than Macs.  The answer is now clear.  PC’s are more convenient, more worldwide, faster, and perhaps much cheaper.  Only a small percent of this world still live in the world of Macs.  But the world spins, and now man must take a choice.  It maybe a risky choice, but the world knowsit has to go forward, it has to go with technology.  Therefore it must put its trust on Microsoft.
