Different form Mazda CX 30, what's new about Mazda Biante?

The Biante appears to be a member of the Mazda family. First, while Mazda cars usually have numbers on their model numbers, the Biante does not. The reason for this is that the Biante was actually, at least initially, only available as a JDM model for the Japanese domestic market, where Mazda used the car's name instead of numbers.

Aside from the nomenclature, the Biante is also noticeably different from most of the current Mazda lineup, as it doesn't really utilize the Kodo design language seen in the company's recent products.

Instead, it looks like a typical Japanese van, in the same vein as the Toyota Alphard or Nissan Elgrand, but slightly smaller in size.

The Biante also has some odd styling details, such as headlights and headlamps extending from the front window. In some ways, it's reminiscent of the now-defunct Nissan Serena, both in appearance and concept.

The most important thing about a seven-passenger car is space, practicality, and price, practicality or not to suit individual needs.

The Biante, formerly known as the Bongo passenger van, was renamed the Biante in 2008 and transformed into a seven-passenger vehicle, retaining the Bongo's tall, squared-off appearance and spacious feel, making it quite popular in Japan. DRIVE 6-speed transmission replaced the previous 2.0 DISI engine and 5-speed transmission, which was the first and only minor revision of the Biante.

As for the cabin, compared to Stepwgn and Sharan, the Biante has a very simple design and layout, without any luxurious and bright decoration. The equipment is not as much as the rivals, but it is equipped with important basic equipment, such as rear parking camera, climate control and large panel audio.

If I were the owner, I would feel that the interior storage compartment is not enough, especially in the front, and I don't know where to put the mobile phone and the change for the tunnel toll. Passengers can walk left and right, or walk through the middle of the front seats to the back seat.

The flexibility of the middle row is the biggest selling point of the Biante.

The Biante's middle row has two separate 85mm wide seats that can be moved forward, backward, left and right.

When the seats are separated, passengers can pass directly between the seats to the back seat.

By putting the seats together and installing headrests in the seats, it can go from two to three seats.

So the Biante is both a seven-passenger vehicle and an eight-passenger vehicle, with the convenience of a 2+2+3 seating layout and the practicality of a 2+3+3 layout.

Another advantage of the Biante's middle row is its 753mm front-to-back pull-out distance, which allows the middle row to have more than 1 meter of legroom when the seats are pushed to the end, allowing the feet to be fully extended and relaxed.

The 2.0-liter naturally aspirated engine produces 151 horsepower and 19.4kgm of torque, about the same as the Stepwgn and Sharan engines, but significantly less torque than the turbocharged engine, so you'll have to step on the gas a little harder when you're on a slope or need to accelerate suddenly. Although the power comes late, but it is enough to cope with the needs.

In the premise of comfortable ride, the suspension setting should not be too stiff. The Biante has a higher center of gravity than the Stepwgn and Sharan, so the body leans more when cornering.

As a seven-passenger car, the most important thing is the comfort and safety of the passengers. The Biante has eight side and curtain airbags, electronic brake force distribution system EBD, and car stability control DSC, so the comfort and safety are already qualified.
