☆ BoA chosen As The Most Loved
Korean Artist In China
On September 24, SM Entertainment held a “Hallryu”(Korean Wave) Award
ceremony in the Great People’s Hall in Beijing, China. Planned by the Economic
Development Association and the Chinese Economic Newspaper Publishing
Company, the award was held in order to commemorate the 15th anniversary of
Chinese-Korean Amity (Friendship). A total of 22 awards were divided into 8
categories(Influence, Music, Image, Industry/Business, Video, Sports, Important People
, and Gaming). A total of 15,000,000 people from China, Taiwan, and Hong Kong
participated in the voting process of selecting the top ten in each category and
subcategory.
SM Entertainment was chosen as the top entertainment business of Korea along
with Lee Soo Man, BoA’s producer, as one of the most influential people of Korea.
In the Music section, Dong Bang Shin Ki’s “Rising Sun” and “Hug” along with H.O.T.’s
“Hope” and “Candy” were chosen as the most loved songs. Without much surprise,B
oA and KangTa were selected as the most loved male/female singers of Korea. In
the “group” section, TVXQ, H.O.T., Super Junior, KangTa & Vaness, etc were chosen
as the most loved groups in Korea. Korea proved once again that it’s Korean Wave
is still alive, and receiving much love throughout China.
