There are three marked hiking trails that can be enjoyed all year round, including the Back Trail, a 1.5 km linear walk through a country park; the Trail, a 1.5 km loop through the forests of the Landscape Park; and the Snipe Dale, a 3.5 km loop along the Snow Valley. The walks range from 5 to 9 miles and include nature trails for families, including routes suitable for wheelchairs. In addition, the best autumn walks in the UK (north, south, east and west) are free, although parking charges may apply.
The River Trent flows through this landscape park in Nottingham so you can continue your walk along the Trent Valley Way. Visit the 3-4 mile loop in the park to discover more, and you can lengthen or shorten your walk if you prefer. Watermead Country Park has beautiful lake views, forest walks, good paths and a picnic area. There are many lovely walks in Rufford Country Park, and the beautiful gardens of Rufford Abbey, playgrounds and maze will keep everyone entertained visit us .

It is impossible to enumerate all the autumn walks in this vast park, which includes kilometres of ancient forests, rugged heathlands and a dreamy coastline.
Clumber Park is a fantastic place for a day trip from Nottingham with lovely walks along the lake and exploring the woods. Poolsbrook Country Park offers miles of walks through forests and lakes, great fishing, meadows, sand and playgrounds for children. Famous for tall oaks steeped in the legend of Robin Hood, it is a fun place for children and a great family walk supervised by a dog. North Nottinghamshire is not a short walk, not least because it is located in the heart of Sherwood Forest and away from the bustle of other places. Sherwood Pines is a vast wooded area and if you're looking for some shade on a hot, sunny day, it's a great walk not far from Nottingham. If you're just looking for a nice place to go for a walk like me, this is here and one of the best I've ever visited.

If you take a walk along one of the routes of Calke Abbey Estates, you will find a large nature reserve with game reserves and many fenced red deer in the fields.
The Grade II listed Blaise Castle Estate, described by Jane Austen as "Northanger Abbey of the finest places in England," offers a charming walk through the woods, culminating in fantastic views of the surrounding area. A spacious, gentle circuit that leads through three beautiful villages connected by gentle farmland and magnificent views. Matlock is a small town on the edge of the Peak District and a popular place to visit as it is on the Derwent River which runs through the city, making it a great spot for an evening stroll when it is quieter. Find a hiking route or other trails that you can explore in the village of Bunny. Rushcliffe Country Park is one of our favorite places to walk with the family in Nottinghamshire.
