Miracle of Mistake
Everyone has problems in their life. Sometimes you know how to solve it but sometimes you cannot find the way to solve it as a young boy, like Peter.
Peter had many problems. He always lied to everyone, always teased everyone that he met, stole some money from his family , got drunk and often gossiped with his friends.
He stopped making these mistakes last week because he heard everyone gossiped about him and he became aware that no one loved him.
He knew he made many mistakes but he didn’t believed that no one loved him so, he wanted to prove it wasn’t true. He tried to socialize with everyone for 3 days but it was still the same. They ignored him.
Feeling very sad, Peter slept in the park for a week. He begged the moon for help. He begged until the moon was covered by the clouds. He had lost hope that he could have happiness like when he was a child. His eyes looked at the ground and he cried again.
A little voice that he’d never known before gossiped about something close to his ears. He sought out the sound’s owner everywhere in the moonlight but he was disappointed. No one stayed with him. After that, he heard the little voice again.
“You can see me in the sky.” He looked at the sky immediately, and saw a lovely fairy smiling at him with a tear in her eyes. He was surprised and wanted to know why she was crying, so he asked her.
“Why are you crying? Do you have a sad story like me?” She shook her head and answered his question.
“No. Why you think everyone has to cry because of a sad story.”
He thought about what she said but he didn’t understand, so he asked her.
“What would they have felt if they hadn’t cried?”
The fairy flew around him once to observe him and let her think about his question.
“Um. I don’t know about their feeling but I know only my feeling.”
“What is your feeling?” He asked in a hurry.
“Are you sure you don’t know my feeling?” She asked him because she was surprised that he didn’t know. Then, Peter nodded his head.
“Um. Well, I’m very glad that you know your mistakes and you want to solve them by yourself. That’s why I cried.”
Peter didn’t say anything , just nodded his head again. The fairy didn’t like his silence, so she asked him to continue the topic.
“Do you want to ask me anything?”
“Can you help me to solve my problems?” His face looked sad.
“Of course. That’s my duty.” She held his hands and said something to him
“I can return the time to you, so you can solve some problems in the past and if you can solve it, I’ll give you a prize.”
“Why would you give a prize to me? I don’t want it.”
“Sorry. It’s the rule, so you have to get it.” She told him and then she said something in another language. Peter didn’t understand and after that, she said to him.
“Are you ready? Go!” She threw him into the sky. He could see the moon behind him. Then, he saw himself in the past.
The lovely fairy smiled when she saw him. She flew into the moon and then sat on a cloud, which was close to the moon to wait for him.
After one hour, Peter came back to the green park. He smiled to her, she smiled to him also. He told her how he had fixed everything he did. She knew he was a good boy that she had to help because he was aware that he had made mistakes. So, she had to give him a prize.
“My prize for you is a wish. What do you want it to be come true?”
“Um. I have to get it, right.” She nodded her head.
“OK. I wish people that make mistakes like me can solve their problems the same as me.” He said and smiled to her but she had disappeared already. Then, he went back to his home and had happiness in his life. However, the lovely fairy still worked around the world.
“How about you?” “Did you get any wish from her?”
