Question Words
What , Where , When , Why , How , Who ,
Whom (ถามถึงใครที่เป็นกรรม) , Whose (ถามความเป็นเจ้าของ) , Which
โครงสร้างประโยคคำถาม
1. ถามถึงประธาน → Question Words│กริยาแท้/ช่วย│ส่วนขยาย
Ex. Who cleaned the room ?
2. ถามถึงกรรม → Question Words│กริยาช่วย│ประธาน│กริยาแท้│ส่วนขยาย ?
Ex. What are you doing ?
Example : Mr. William taught us English last year.
Who taught us English last year ?
They sent for the doctor just now.
Whom did they send for just now ?
**Sent for = ตาม , just now = เมื่อกี้**
The red bus goes to Din Dang.
Which bus goes to Din Dang ?
Jesse’s shirt is the whitest in the class
Whose shirt is the whitest in the class ?
I will marry the smart boy, not the stupid boy.
Which boy will you marry ?
He plays basketball very well.
How does he play basketball ?
She was crying because she wanted to go the party.
Why did she was crying?
การขึ้นต้นประโยคคำถามด้วย Tell me , Do you know , I don’t know
Example : Where are they spending their summer holidays ?
Tell me where they are spending their summer holidays.
**spend = ใช้จ่าย ในที่นี้หมายถึงใช้เวลา
Why did he get angry ?
Do you know why he got angry.
**ที่ไม่ใช้ did อีก เพราะมี got ซึ่งเป็นช่องที่สองทำหน้าที่เป็นกริยาแล้ว**
What do you know about him ?
I don’t know what you know about him.
จะสังเกตว่า เมื่อใช้ Tell me , Do you know และ I don’t know ขึ้นต้นประโยคคำถามแทน Question Words แล้ว รูปประโยคหลัง Question Words จะเปลี่ยนเป็นประโยคบอกเล่า
เนื่องจากใช้ Tell me , Do you know และ I don’t know ถามไปแล้ว จึงไม่ถามซ้ำอีกเป็นครั้งที่สอง
Direction : จงเปลี่ยนประโยคต่อไปนี้เป็นประโยคคำถามให้ถูกต้อง
ขึ้นต้นประโยคคำถามด้วย Question Words โดยดูจากตัวหนาในประโยค
Ex. The prime minister will open the new university.
Ans. = Who will open the new university ?
1. We saw the tall boy in blue trousers with Kun just now.
Ans. =
2. My mother asked my father to stop smoking. **ask = ขอร้อง**
Ans. =
3. The doctor’s car is at the corner.
Ans. =
4. He is going to marry the daughter of the richest man in the village.
Ans. =
