Sensing her disappointment, I quickly stepped forward, my eyes scanning the boutique for a replacement. Soon enough, I found a perfect bow headband, untouched and in pristine condition. Holding it in my hands, I turned to Nikki with a smile.

"Nikki, I found a new headband for you," I said, my voice filled with eagerness. "It's just as adorable as the one you originally chose. Let me help you put it on."

Without hesitation, I gently lifted the damaged headband from Nikki's hair, carefully replacing it with the new one. As my hands brushed against her soft hair, I sensed the floral scent of the shampoo. Then I noticed that I forgot to keep distance between us. Nikki stood between my arms, and I could feel her warmth and fragility.

I didn't realize it, but the simple act of placing the headband on Nikki's head had brought us closer, both physically and emotionally. Her cheeks flushed with a rosy hue, and a shy smile tugged at the corners of her lips.
