“P' Thalay ! Say something about the person beside you na !”
One of the fans shouted during their fan meeting.
“ The person beside me huh? “ Thalay paused to look at Thawngfa,
“ I love this person very much “
And the atmosphere filled with fans screaming.
“ I didn’t expected that “ Thawngfa spoke as they got backstage.
“ What ?”
“ It’s your first time in the industry but you are so good at this fan service thing “ He explained ,
“For a moment , even I started to suspect your feelings towards me "
And he giggled at his own statement considering it as a joke.
Little did he know that he just spoke the truth.
The truth which he is reluctant to accept.
Thalay didn’t said anything. He was just smiling at the person in front of him. The person who owns his heart and soul. The person who understands him so well. They can read through each other’s eyes.
But when it comes to love , they can’t understand each other
Or maybe they don’t want to….
“Thalay ! Are you tired ? Even if you are , you still can’t say no to me , we are going out to eat ! “ Saying this he grabbed Thalay’s hand and rushed towards their car.
They visited different malls. Thawngfa is always worried about his looks. Therefore, he go to shopping often.
How it looks Thalay ! “ He asked while getting out of the try room.
“ Everything looks good on you , I don’t understand why you put so much effort , you can make someone fall for you just by breathing “
Thawngfa just laughed back. This is what he does whenever Thalay speaks his heart. That’s why he never gathered the courage to confess his love.
After paying at the counter they went to eat at a restaurant.
“ So Thalay I was telling you that how I passed that math test “ Thawngfa continued his endless stories after taking a big bite on his burger. He talks non stop , especially when he is with Thalay.
As he is the best listener who never complains.
How he can complain while spending time with the love of his life?
It was quite late at night when they reached their next spot.
Thawngfa dragged Thalay out the car and start running in excitement while holding Thalay’s hand tightly
He just followed him like always
Like always he did since he met him for the first time

He remembered all the details of their first meeting almost a year ago.
It was during his stage debut. Thalay was the lead of a musical show.
He hid himself in the restroom. Sweating like hell in nervousness.
“ Hey ! Are you fine? “ A soft voice called him from behind making him turn to the most handsome person he has ever seen.

“ And you are nervous, right? “ Thawngfa understood him so well even they didn’t know each other yet. He reached to pat Thalay’s shoulder and said ,

And then his faced formed a beautiful smile. The brightest smile Thalay has ever seen in his life. The smile that calmed him down in a split of second.
“ Thank you so much , by the way what’s your—“ before he could ask his name his manager found him and dragged him out to stage while he was looking back at Thawngfa who was wishing him good luck by showing his both thumbs up.
These beautiful memories always brings a smile on Thalay’s face.
“ We’re finally here ! And it’s still a minute left “ Thawngfa spoke as they reached the sea side. Thalay was looking at the decorative setting in confusion
“ Thawngfa what is—“
“ Shshsh ! it’s almost the time .. 3… 2.. 1.. “
As the clock struck 12 , music started to play and Thawngfa sang out,
“ Happy birthday to you , Happy birthday to you ,
Happy birthday dear Thalay, Happy birthday to you …..“
Thalay tried to suppress his tears. His heart was overwhelmed with the love and care he’s getting. The whole setting looks like a movie scene
A romantic movie scene…
“ Thanks for coming to this world , thanks for coming in my life Thalay , thanks for being by my side always , I love you so much “ And he hugged Thalay warmly
This looked like the right time
The right time for Thalay to confess his own love .
His lips parted and whispered his lover’s name but before he could say anything further ,
Thawngfa spoke again
“ You are my best friend Thalay , and always be.. “
This was enough to break his hopes again.
“ Thalay ! Why are you crying ?You look like a 2 years old while crying..”
Thawngfa wiped his tears while smiling at him. He didn’t understand the pain behind those tears
The pain of rejection. …
Their love looks like a dream that Thalay saw alone but can’t make it a reality by his own.
It hurts …
It hurts when the one you love doesn’t love you back
And it hurts more when you have to keep seeing them like everyday , knowing that they can’t be yours
Just to save the friendship you have
Just to save the little part of blessing you have
