Dear host family,
First, I would like to say thank you for your kindness in consideration of this essay. I hope that the content of the writing has enough interesting information for you to give me an opperturnity to live in The United States of America and to become a member of your family during 10 months of the student exchange program. My greatest wish is to spend a nice year in another country and learn its culture. I'm looking forward to try new things and make experiences. As I know, The U.S. is an independent democratic country and I think I will have a great memory there. Let me tell you more about myself for your information as following before we meet.
My name is Xxxxxxxxx. My nickname is Tang, shorten from Tangmo which means Watermelon in English. I was born in February 14, 1994. I live in Nonthaburi, Thailand with my grandma, mom, dad and two younger brothers. My mom is a government official and my dad is a freelance engineer. My dad works really hard but he plays hard too. On weekend I with my brothers and dad always practice and play tennis with atennis teacher at the tennis court near our home. My favorite activity is taking photos and I think during my living in the U.S. I will take a lot of photos of yours and I wil try to talk with you as much as I can. I think I must be very exciting of my new family and my new house when arrived the U.S. Actually, I have my own small room which have only a bed, a desk and a wardrobe as you see in the photo album. I love my little room because it's really private and it makes me concentrate in doing my homework and I hope you will have a small cute room for me.
I'm now studying in Grade 9 at a provincial school. By the time When I go there, I will be in grade 10. In my school, Science, Mathematics and English are the major subjects. I heard that in The U.S. students can choose subjects they want to study, So I think I need an adviser, May be you or your children (It could help me very much to have new brothers or sisters of my age). My favorite subjects are Art, P.E., Biology, English and may be in Mathematics (someone told me that I'm good at Mathematics but I think I'm not good at all in this subject).
