My name is
Johannes Wilhelm , I was a Panzer IV commander from the start of the war. I
used to fight those fragile Czech and Polish tank . The story I’m going to tell
you is when I was in eastern front against Soviet tanks.
“Sam! T-34 at 3 O’clock!” I
shouted at Feldwebel Samuel , my eagle-eye gunner
“Fired!” Sam shouted. The shell
hit the T-34 at set it on fire
“Another one down , good job!”
that’s Leutnant Michael. My friend , he’s also a commander of Panzer IV just
like me.
“I know Mike , that’s hell of a
kill! But this battle isn’t over yet!” I replied to Michael and then ordered
Richter , my driver to move forward.
“Forward!”
“Jawohl!” said Richter
Our tank
starting to move forward as well as Michael’s tank , we’re fighting in the
largest tank battle in world war 2 ; The Battle of Kursk.
We’ve been
ordered to advance to a village near Seym , We’ve stop there to defend a
village from Soviets and wait for reinforcement to arrive.
I’m on the
church tower to see if there’s any Soviet tanks engaging. I use my binocular to
see around and then I spotted a group of Soviet BT-7s moving across the field
just about 3 kilometers from a village.
“Hey! Ivan’s BT-7s moving across
the field! Get in our tank and get ready! We’re going to crush those
cockroaches!” I shouted from church tower to my comrades below
Richter
start the engine , I quickly move from the church and get to my tank as fast as
possible and start moving to those BT-7s location. But when we are there ,
there’s nothing there. I poke out from the commander’s hatch and start looking
around.
“What!? Where did they go?” I’m
thinking
“Or this should be. . .?!” Before
I can finish thinking , the shell coming out from nowhere hit my tank
“Shit! It’s a trap!” I told
Michael.
“Verdammt! I can’t see where they’re
shooting from!” Say Michael.
“Just get out here! Now!” I told
Michael and then told Richter to get us out of here.
Just as our
tank started to move a shot hit our right track and immobilized our tank
“Fuck! We can’t move!” Richter
shout
“We have to fix it!” Say Richter
“Mike , Cover me while I repairing
my track!” I told Michael
“Roger , Covering fire!” Michael
shouted to his crew to cover us while we’re trying to repair our track
After a while , we finished repairing the track.
“Finally , Let’s get us outta
here!” I told Richter to start moving under enemy fire
“Mike , Let’s go!” I told Mike to
leave the area
“Okay Friedrich get us out of-
Shit!” A shot hit his side armor and detonate the ammo stowage , made his tank
explode.
“Mike!!!!!!!!!” I can’t believe
my eyes , did I just saw my friend die just in front of me? I can’t even do anything
to save him.
“Johannes! What are you doing! Do
something before that happen to us!” Sam
