ลำดับตอนที่ #8 : Chapter Eight - Voice from the Past
Singto awakes in the dark small alcove inside a room, he saw a little boy crouches down in the corner of the room. He seems scared while wrapping his knees, there is trace of tear on his faces.
He's trying to speak but no voice come out, then he slowly approaches the boy, but when he almost come closer, suddenly heard the screaming voice from outside. Singto could see the red light showing on the door's crack, then not long after that the smoke is coming in from it.
He shortly guessed that there is fire outside. He's trying to open the door, but it won't open, it was locked from outside, Singto then began to bang on it to ask for help, yet no one comes to open the door.
The little child began to cough because of the smokes, also was him, he hardly breathing.
"Somebody help! Open the door!" he's shouting while keep banging the door.
After some time he fell on the floor and dying, he almost out of breath and lost consciousness, then vaguely saw a shadow before closing his eyes.
However he could heard a conversation in his dream.
"I'll be back. I promise, please wait for me..."
"Don't worry! I know you will..."
"You won't miss me, do you?"
"Take this with you, and return to me when you come back..."
"But, this is...."
"I'll be fine, just to make sure nothing bad happen to you..."
"Thank you..."

"My lord .....wait...."
Singto slowly open his eyes and found himself in hospital ward. Krist fall asleep beside him with his palm open up like holding the phone before, Singto slowly put his hand on it in awkward then pretend to sleep again when hear the footstep come closer, it's Kevin.
Kevin saw a phone on the floor, he put the flower inside the vase beside the table then crouched down to pick up Krist's phone, yet accidentally saw Singto and Krist's hand joined together. Kevin slowly put the phone on the table then touch Singto forehead using his finger to check his temperature.
Kevin throw himself on the couch while staring at Singto and then to Krist in turn. He then doing his hair, and took out the cigarettes about to light it on, but then stop as he remember that he currently inside the ward.
Kevin moves his eyes into the smokes detector above him while holding the cigarettes and lighter. His memory flies back to more than twenty years ago, when he first time came to the house. He stood in front of his grandpa's door and pushed a little to give him a gap to peek inside.
His grandpa's holding an old painting, he looks at it and sighed.
"Where should I look for him? Probably he has died..."
The old man then rolled back the painting and kept it under a drawer and then took out a cigarette.
"Phi, please rest in peace...I won't stop to look for him and bring him back if he is still alive, I promise..."
Suddenly the door closed and the little Kevin fell on the floor in surprised.
Krist open his eyes and feel Singto's hand, his eyes fixed on it and freezes for second, he glances at Kevin in flash and quickly pulls his hand from the guy in awkward.
"P-P'Kevin, when did you come?" Krist stammered. "I-I didn't...."
"You're awake?" Kevin greet him. "How's he doing?"
Krist turned to look at Singto who still sleep soundly, then replied Kevin. "I-I don't know, I fall slept while playing my...phone..." Krist stop and remember of something, he shortly looking for his phone.
"How come my phone moved to table and I'm holding P'Sing's hand instead?" Krist confused. "Am I dreaming?"
"What?"
"Er...nothing...I dream of having a date with Stella...hehe..." Krist make up the story. "Sorry..."
"You may go home and continue your dream, let me replace you to wait for him..."
"Er...it's okay, I'll wait for him, I know you just came home from work and haven't rest since last night, right?"
"I'm fine! I want to stay by his side when he wake up..."
Krist rubs his nape and frowned. "Phi, I don't think you should do this! I mean he just your secretary, you shouldn't push your luck on him, because I think that he...doesn't has that kind of feeling to you..." Krist lower his voice at the end of sentences.
"He told you?"
"No, I just see it that way!"
"You're not like us, you won't understand!"
"Well, I am also a guy! I know how the uncomfortable feeling when another guy trying to walk into my personal space, and I could see his reaction every times you're trying to flirt him...."
Kevin shut his mouth for second and glared at Krist straight.
"Well, it is you who tried to flirt him a moment ago, attempt to hold his hand while sleeping...."
"No, I remember I hold the phone, but then..."
"What about standing so close to each other under the rain shower, also pulled him into your room on the other day, while he politely refused my invitation..."
Krist's jaw opened and close nervously. "Y-you saw it?"
"Do you forgot, my office just one floor above the balcony..."
"Ah, I'm not surprised...."
"Now, I want to ask you something!" said Kevin. "Answer it honestly!"
"Huh? You can't be serious, if you wanna ask if I have secret relationship with him, then I could tell you...."
"What do you remember about him?" cut Kevin.
Krist stop immediately and blinks few times at Kevin in confused.
"W-what do you mean? What do..I remember...about him?" repeat Krist. "Excuse me? I don't really get the question...."
Kevin hold his breath for second and sighed. "Never mind." He then took his cigarettes and walk out of room. Leaving Krist confused alone, trying to digest Kevin question by himself.

Kevin hire a new female secretary, he doesn't remove Singto's position just free him from his duty, so all the Kevin's schedule are arrange by this new secretary. He also not talk too much with the guy anymore, more like ignore his presence.
Singto sat in front of desk alone, usually he's being busy but this time he feels like he's jobless and bored. The general manager office was empty, Kevin out for meeting with his new secretary, leaving him alone to guard the office.
Krist enter the room once saw his brother leave the office, he felt despise of the woman who was seen intentionally trying to approach his brother, apparently trying to get his attention.
Krist pull a chair and sit in front of Singto then put a cup of milk tea on the desk.
"How could you enter without knocking first?"
"Well, cut the manner, will you? This company belong to my family, it just like my own house so I feel free to go anywhere."
Singto glared at him in disbelieve and smirked. "You're right, you're going to become next president director anyway!"
Krist nodded in arrogant and change the subject. "How do you feel? You should have a lot of rest or do the medical checkup, it's not normal to suddenly fall unconsciousness like that, you know!"
"Don't be worry, I will have a lot of free time from now."
Krist suddenly remember of Kevin new secretary. "Sorry, that must be hard for you, my brother really childish..." commented Krist.
"Pardon?"
"P'Kevin purposely hire a female secretary to provoke you because of jealous!" Krist tell his analyze and sip his drink while glances at Singto.
"Well, it's nothing to do with me, I guessed! He is the boss, and I think he free to hire anyone to fill any position."
"How do I feel like he's going to revenge you?"
"Revenge...me?" Singto raised his eyebrow. "Why would he do that?"
"Because he saw what we doing at the balcony and he thought there is something between you and me."
Singto smiled and reply. "I'm glad if he think like that."
Krist blink for few times and laugh too. "I can't believe you dragged me along and make me your partner in crime!"
"Sorry for caused you in trouble."
"Don't mention it, I love to have brother in crime...haha..."
"By the way, you do not affected by my brother's act, don't you?" Krist feels suspicious.
"Got affected? How?"
"Because I could scent the change of mood in you!"
"Because I got a lot of thing in my head, I try to remember something important, something from a long time ago..."
"Huh? You got amnesia?" Krist widen his eyes in surprised.
"Yeah, I forget my past, my family and everything in my early life..."
"That must be hard..." Krist show the sympathy. "How old are you, anyway? The way you're talking, as if you have live for centuries..." Krist jokes.
"Do you believe if I tell you that actually I have lived for more than century?" Singto straightly stares at him.
"I do believe." Replied Krist. "So, what are you? A vampire? Werewolf? Witch? Or any of magical creature?"
"You can't seriously believe any of that story, are you?" Singto laughed. "Never mind."
Suddenly the door opened, Kevin and the new secretary show up from the door and surprised the two guys. Kevin stand so close to the woman and wrapped his arm around the woman waist to help she walks.
"What happened?" Singto stood up in surprised and help them.
"She fell down when about to walk out from elevator, and one of her leg stuck inside when the elevator door closed, fortunately nothing bad happened." Kevin explained while carefully help the secretary to sit on the couch.
Krist mouth open widely and his face become pale.
"Does P'Min ghost still wandering around and looking for next victim?"
"You mean, the woman who died in the elevator accident? I heard the rumor from other this morning." Exclaimed Wan, The new secretary. "OMG, so it's true when somebody died by accident, they spirit might still wandering around to harm other?"
"Don't believe in those ridiculous story!" Kevin cut her then crouch down to take off the woman shoes, and help to rub the bruise part so gently.
Krist glances at Singto for second, the guy get up and walk to the table to get the water. He offer the water to Wan and head to first aid box to looking for cream, he looks so busy, yet Krist just stood from beside and watching.
"Look, you may believe it or not, but I believe there is a ghost in this world." Said Krist. "So, I suggested you to avoid the elevator and take the stairs instead."
"Krist, cut the crap!" Kevin scold him.
"Is it true?" Wan feel Gosse bumped and glances at Singto.
"I don't know, but some rumors are make out base on witnessed, but I still take the elevator every day and saw nothing strange, so don't be worry, just...be careful next time."
"P'Kevin, I'm scared!" suddenly she grabbed Kevin's arm and act spoiled.
Krist and Singto exchanged the glances and smiled a bit, Kevin shortly glared at them.
"You can wait for me to go down together after work, I won't let any of the accident happened to you or anyone in this office again, I promise." Kevin tries to convince her then pulled his hand in awkward.
"Ah, I also heard that the parking lot also has strange rumors around..."
"Krist, get out from my office, now!" Kevin cut him off.
"Don't cut me, Phi! I just want to say, maybe you also shall offer her a ride."
"Don't you get enough?" Kevin raise his tone.
"Excuse me, Sir! I'll take care of him!" Singto shortly grabbed Krist's arm and forcedly pull the guy to leave the office.
