1. So = การใช้เชื่อม clause กับ clause

So + clause ที่เป็นผล ผลลัพธ์

I got up late, so I came late

2. So ใช้แทนข้อความที่กล่าวไว้ก่อนแล้ว

If you love me, say so

So = คำนี้ = love me

= ถ้าคุณรักฉัน ก็บอกอย่างนั้นซิ

3.Or so = ราวๆ นั้น ประมาณนั้น = approximately

He will stay here a week or so

4. And so on = และอื่นๆอีก

I bought pens, pencils, rulers and so on

= ฉันซื้อปากกา ดินสอ ยางลบ และอื่นๆอีก

5. So+ adj. หรือ adv. So = very

 He is so nice

= he is very nice

6. So-so = ปานกลาง

7. So and so ใช้เรียกแทนชื่อคนเมื่อเรากล่าวถึงโดยที่ชื่อบุคคลนั้นไม่สำคัญหรือไม่รู้ชื่อเขา

Mr. so and so called you this morning

= นายคนนั้นๆแหละที่โทรมาหาคุณเมื่อเช้านี้

หล่อนเป็นคนน่ารักจนกระทั่งทุกคนชอบเธอ
