ก่อน การเดบิวและเปิดตัวของบอยแบนด์หน้าใหม่จากค่าย SM Entertainment ในวันที่19 พฤษภาคม 2551
ชายนี่ได้รับการฝึกฝนกันนานเป็นเวลา 2ปี และ สำหรับนน้องเล็กของวง แทมิน
ที่เข้าออดิชั่นตั้งแต่อายุ11ปี จึงเป็นเวลา4ปีด้วยกันที่แทมินได้เข้าฝึกในSM
ก่อนหน้าการเดบิวส์ของชายนี่ สมาชิกแต่ล่ะคนในวงได้มีประสบการณ์เล็กๆน้อยๆด้านการแสดงและร้องเพลงมาบ้าง
